The Cambridge Scooter Club has over 217 registered members who are able to participate in the discussion forum. There is a core membership of around 70 members who regularly attend CSC meetings at Quayside and The Master Mariner, Cambridge. We welcome riders of all scooters, not just classic Lambrettas and Vespas with many members running both modern autos and classic machines. The club operates and meets in a collaborative, non-hierarchical style, with few rules, which benefits all members and is a club run by scooterists for scooterists. Many members also attend various rallies and other scooter club organised events throughout the year. The events that we plan on attending are found in the events forum and in our calendar. CSC members like to organise at least one rally or event abroad each year with past trips including The Isle of Elba. Each year CSC organise the increasingly popular St. Georges Day run around Cambridge City which has increased in size each year proving to be one of the popular events on the scootering calendar. There are a number of videos on YouTube which display the popularity of this event. All proceeds are donated to our chosen charity, Opportunities Without Limits (OWL) who we get to help out at the event. The event is well supported by local businesses who provide items such as trophies and food. CSC have also produced a charity calendar featuring members and their scooters, which raised a large sum for Help for Heroes. Members have turned up at a number of other events such as motoring displays, Royston Italian Market, a College Ball, where we provided stylish transport to the event (a difference to the obligatory stretch limo), a rideout and display of scooters for the Quadrophenia stage show and a few members were even cast as mod extras in the Brighton Rock remake, due for release in 2010.
